SEAT BOARD MEETING
DECEMBER 21, 2006

Those SEAT Board members attending were Pat Gill, Steve Mandernach, John Rutledge, Peggy Rice, Tom O'Neill and Melanie Cloud Gross by phone conference; others in attendance were Sandy Steinbach, Linda Langenberg and Alan Vandehaar.
 

There were no minutes submitted to be approved.
 

There were no claims reviewed.
 

There was a discussion of the Fiscal Agreement between SEAT and Woodbury County. It was agreed to approve the agreement as approved by Woodbury County and to clarify the disposition of assets upon renewal of the Fiscal Agreement because it was felt that the issue was clearly explained in the 28 (e) agreement.
 

A motion was made by Rutledge, seconded by Rice to approve the agreement as submitted and authorize the chairperson to sign. Motion carried.
 

There was a discussion of an amendment of the Iowa State University Extension service contract. The amendment was the result of an increase in the number of trainings actually completed over the number of trainings planned for in the first year of the contract.
 

A motion was made by O'Neill, seconded by Cloud-Gross to approve the amendment of the Iowa State University Extension service contract as submitted. Motion carried.
 

There was a discussion of an amendment to the ISU agreement to encompass services performed for election administrator training.
 

A motion was made by Rutledge, seconded by Mandernach to authorize the chairperson to enter negotiations with a representative of ISU Extension and a representative of the Secretary of State's Office to draft a proposal to be considered by the SEAT board for election administrator training. Motion Carried.
