SEAT
April 19, 2006
 

The SEAT Committee met on April 19, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at the Regency Hotel-Room F, Marshalltown, Iowa. Members present: Pat Gill, Peggy Rice, Steven Mandernach, Melanie Gross, John Rutledge and Tom O'Neill. Others present: Paul Coates, Vicki Ritz, and Alan Vandehaar.
 

Paul Coates, Director of State and Local Government Programs for Iowa State University Extension made a presentation on the history of the SEAT program.
 

The Budget Committee presented a draft budget. O'Neill moved to adopt the budget as presented, Rice seconded. Motion carried.
 

The Budget Committee presented a draft grant agreement between the Secretary of State's Office and SEAT. O'Neill moved to authorize the chair to sign the agreement with the changes provided by Rice. Rutledge seconded the motion. Motion carried.
 

The Budget Committee presented a draft agreement between ISU Extension and SEAT for facilitating the Precinct Election Official Program. O'Neill moved to authorize the chair to sign the agreement with the changes provided by Rice. Rice seconded the motion. Motion carried.
 

The Budget Committee was asked to prepare a proposal for providing for administrative support for SEAT and present it at the next meeting.
 

The Membership Committee requested sample participation agreements.
 

Rutledge moved to adjourn. Rice seconded the motion.
