SEAT BOARD MEETING
JULY 25, 2006
Stoney Creek Inn & Conference Center
Those attending were Pat Gill, Paul
Coates, Alan Vandehaar, Steve Mandernach, Peggy Rice, John
Rutledge, Tom O'Neill and Melanie Cloud Gross by phone
conference.
A motion was made by Rutledge, seconded
by Rice, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.
Motion carried.
There was a discussion of the
Participation Agreement/Membership Process
A motion was made by Rutledge, seconded
by Rice, to allow the Chairperson to designate the newspaper
for publications. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Rice, seconded by
Rutledge, to approve the membership form as submitted.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Rutledge, seconded
by Rice, to approve drafting an agreement with Woodbury
County to act as the fiscal agent for SEAT. Motion carried.
There was a discussion of makeup classes
for Precinct Election Official Training.
A motion was made by Mandernach, seconded
by Rutledge, to adopt a makeup policy allowing participants
of PEOT to make up sessions 1 and 3 by either attending a
future session of the missed session or by use of the
internet version of that session and allowing individual
instruction to make up of session 2. Motion carried.
A motion was made by O'Neill, seconded by
Rice, for the internet version to be used for makeup classes
but not the sole method of certification. Motion carried.
A motion was made by O'Neill, seconded by
Rutledge, to develop a process to permit bills to be paid
and then audited at the next meeting of SEAT. Motion
carried.
Paul talked about the upcoming SEAT
Classes.
Steve discussed the Agenda for the
Continuing Ed Class.
The next meeting is scheduled for
November 29th at the ISAC Fall School.
