ISU Campus Housing Option Information
Housing accommodations are available at Wallace Residence Hall at Iowa State University. This hall is one of the Towers Residence Halls located south of campus near Welch Avenue and Storm Street, conveniently located next to the camping areas designated for RAGBRAI. Each room will be furnished with one twin (single) bed and one futon (or, in some cases, a second twin bed may be present instead of a futon), and either a wardrobe or dresser, and a desk and chair. Two self-service linen packs will be included for each room. Each linen pack includes a blanket, pillow, pillowcase, sheets, two towels, one washcloth, and soap.
Group bathrooms are conveniently located on each floor (one designated for each gender) providing private shower stalls and clean surroundings. All rooms in Wallace do not have air-conditioning. Elevator access is available in this high-rise residence hall. Telephone service is not available in each room.
The following policies are in effect: Alcohol is not permitted anywhere in Wallace or in the Wallace-Wilson Commons buildings. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the ISU campus, including inside residence hall buildings. Minors must be accompanied by an adult in each room. Pets are not allowed. For safety reasons, screens may not be removed from windows. Lost keys will result in replacement charges. Room occupancy may be up to 2 people if the futon is used for sleeping. Multiple rooms may be purchased by one person (must be an adult), but picture identification for all occupants will be required at check-in time and an ID keyholder with keys will be issued to each occupant at check-in. Access to residence buildings will be limited to only those with an ID keyholder who have purchased accommodations. The cost for each room is $45.00 (whether you stay by yourself or bring a roommate) and includes the use of showers on the floor and use of two linen self-service packs.
Check-in on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 will begin at 6:00 a.m. and key return and check-out will be required by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations for housing must be received in writing to ucs-info@iastate.edu no later than Tuesday, July 8, 2008 and will be refunded less a $15 processing fee. To make reservations, click on the Reservation for RAGBRAI Housing.
