The 2009 Better Concrete Conference will be held in the Scheman Building on the Iowa State University campus on October 29, 2009
The Better Concrete Conference is designed to put you in direct contact with concrete producers, contractors, owners, and designers to discuss ways to enhance the production or performance of concrete. As an owner or designer you can see first-hand how the concrete option can reduce the cost or improve the constructability of your future projects.
Are you involved in the specification, design, production and placement of Portland cement concrete? If you answered "yes," this program will help you stay abreast of the most recent changes in the industry. If you answered "no," join us to learn more about what concrete can do for your business.
The 2009 conference objectives include:
- Learn how to properly finish flatwork to assure a long and durable life.
- See how concrete was used to build a long lasting I-35 Bridge on schedule and budget.
- Learn about concrete in streetscaping to achieve multiple goals.
- Hear how others have used pervious concrete to their advantage in stormwater and pavement needs.
- Learn how to properly care for your concrete at placement and after placement.
