Family Development Certification Training

A comprehensive training and development program designed to empower front-line workers with skills and competencies needed to help families identify and reach their goals for self-reliance and interdependence. The program focuses on achieving healthy self-reliance; building mutually respectful relationships with families; communicating effectively with skill and soul; home visiting; ongoing assessment and goal setting; recognizing a variety of family challenges and accessing specialized services; cultural competence; facilitating family conferences; and exploring advocacy and community collaboration. Options are offered for ISU CEU's, social work CEU'S and college credit.

The training to be held in Coralville has been cancelled.

Course Credit: 4 undergraduate or graduate credit hours (if earning course credit, the registration fee is reduced to $300 and tuition is billed.)
Social Work CEU: Social Work Continuing Education Units are available for a cost of $10.
