ASCE Geotechnical Conference
March 1, 2012 at Scheman Building, Ames, Iowa

The conference will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. on March 1, 2012 at the Scheman Building in Ames, Iowa. The program will begin at 8:30.

The 35th Annual ASCE Geotechnical Conference provides information on current practices and new techniques in geotechnical analysis, design, materials, and construction. Conference topics cover a broad array of contemporary issues and design and construction techniques for professionals involved in highway design, foundations, site development, and geo-environmental disciplines.

This annual conference offers a valuable opportunity for the exchange of technical expertise among design professionals, contractors, owners, and developers working on projects in the subsurface environment or at sites influenced by geotechnical constraints. There is also an opportunity for exhibits and we invite companies who are interested in exhibiting to contact us.
We're fortunate to have the Hoover Distinguished lecturer present at the conference. Dr. Kenneth H. Stokoe, II will present his lecture, The Increasing Role of Seismic Measurements in Geotechnical Engineering.

The conference is sponsored by the Iowa Section - ASCE, and the Department of Civil, Construction, & Environmental Engineering and University Extension, at Iowa State University.
