IAWIND and IWEA have joined together to bring you two excellent opportunities to learn about the wind industry on consecutive days at the Scheman Building on Iowa State University's campus.

The Iowa Alliance for Wind Innovation and Novel Development (IAWIND) Conference will be held Tuesday, April 6th. The 2010 IAWIND Conference will focus on technical, research and development issues including new design trends, forecasting & grid operations, improved materials and manufacturing methods, and turbine health monitoring/reliability. The IAWIND Conference will also address workforce and training issues so relevant and necessary for the wind industry. IAWIND is a partnership among state and local governments, the community colleges, universities, the private sector, associations and community organizations, and the federal government. This state-wide effort helps coordinate the breadth of activities and capabilities in research and education taking place within the state, and catalyze activities designed to meet the research, training, and testing needs of the rapidly expanding wind energy industry. Contact http://www.iawind.org/ for more information on IAWIND.

The Third Annual Iowa Wind Energy Association Conference will be held Wednesday, April 7th immediately following the one-day IAWIND Conference. The IWEA Conference will focus on a broad array of issues starting with National, then State perspectives including legislative developments, individual sessions on Small & Community Wind, Independent Wind Development, and Large Integrated Wind Development. Additional topics relating to Laws, Transmission, Financing, Safety and New Market Realities will round-out the day.
