This is an interactive seminar that begins with the 3 pillars of Smart Lighting: Task, Technology, and Controls. Follow these and it is easy to get 60-80% energy reduction and guarantee it!

Task - Adjust the lighting to the task taking place under the lights. What are you doing under the lights... Production, welding, refrigeration, inspection? All have different light level needs. Production may be 30 fc or it may be 50 fc. How visually difficult is the task performed? Get the illumination level right and it is easy to save 30-40% just by correcting the existing light.

Technology - Use the most efficient technology & long life components. Learn how to increase the efficiency of the lamps, ballast, and fixture itself and you will save 25% on your energy consumption. Include long life components and you will save 70-80% on future maintenance! We will cover all technologies.

Controls - How are you going to turn it on & off? Are sensors going to save you money or just add to the cost of a project? Learn how to pick the right sensor for the space and do the financial analysis of where it makes sense to use sensors and where it is a waste of money and energy. It is nice to feel good about being green but we live in reality, it has to make financial sense! We will review a spread sheet and go into net present value and IRR for those CFO's who want to cut costs and bank the savings! Utility rates are not going down!

Who should attend?
