This workshop is designed for geotechnical, structural and construction engineers, contractors, researchers and students interested in an introduction or a refresher to the GRL WEAP software for pile driving simulation and analysis. A portion of the workshop is devoted to the theory of the wave equation.

This workshop will feature the use of the laptop computers for the demonstration of the software using ideas from your own counties as sample input if you desire. The size of the class is limited to 30 persons due to the amount of available computers and software security issues.

The course is being designed as a one day course held at the Country Inn & Suites. Registration at 8 am and closing by 5 pm. Lunch and break refreshments are included in the conference fee.

We are encouraging you to bring your own laptop computer to this session. This is a change from previous sessions. We will be providing a copy of the software for you to load prior to the workshop. The software is a demo copy and will only be valid during the time of the workshop and then will be rendered inoperable. If you have problems loading the software you are encouraged to call Jim Cable 515-292-4460 in advance of the workshop to make arrangements for other laptops. Those laptops are in limited supply and provided on a first come basis. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING YOUR OWN TO THIS SESSION.
