All participants will go to the

as part of the Symposium program on Tuesday night, June 26, 2007. The busses will depart from the Scheman Building's courtyard after the Iowa Summertime Picnic. Busses will return participants to the Scheman Building, Gateway Hotel, or University Park Inn & Suites after the visit to the Doolittle Prairie.
If participants wish to arrange a tour at the Seed Science Center while you're in Ames, please contact Conference Chair, Candice Gardner at

Sunday, June 24 Tour Option
Backyard Habitat Tours: If you arrive early with access to a car, you're invited to meet some friendly people who are working to enhance local habitat for birds, insects, and other wildlife. There is an opportunity before the symposium's opening reception on Sunday, June 24, between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, to participate in a backyard habitat tour. The Big Bluestem Audubon Society is sponsoring a free tour of seven central Iowa residences in and around Ames (ranging from small urban yards to large, rural acreages) that all are designed with wildlife habitat in mind.
The pdf below includes maps and more details about the Big Bluestem Audubon Society.
