Achieving Energy Efficiency Improvements for Industrial Refrigeration Systems (Ammonia)
October 13-14, 2009, Scheman Building, Iowa State University ~ Ames, Iowa
The
Industrial Refrigeration (Ammonia) Energy Efficiency Workshop
is a
two-day
course that shares practical information on industrial refrigeration systems including techniques to assess and implement energy conservation measures.
The
Partnership for Industrial Energy Efficiency (PIE
2
)
is pleased to host the
Industrial Refrigeration (Ammonia) Workshop: Achieving Energy Efficiency Improvements
on October 13-14. This course is for end-users of refrigeration systems for process cooling - those who are seeking strategies, technologies, and operational improvements that can cost-effectively improve the energy efficiency of their facilities.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Attend and gather practical information to assess and implement energy conservation measures associated with the design and operation of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. You will benefit by:
Understanding the basic principles of benchmarking systems,
A range of approaches to improve the efficiency of industrial refrigeration systems with and without capital expenditures, and
Reviewing principles for making efficient equipment selections.
This workshop is being held consecutively with the
Commercial Air-Conditioning (Chillers) Workshop
, held in the same location on October 15. The course is taught by the same instructors from University of Wisconsin-Madison. The audience for these two events is distinct and different but the goal is consistent: provide practical information that can help catalyze energy efficiency improvements in the industrial and commercial building sectors.
