Electric Substation Short Course
March 16-18, 2010 at the Scheman Building in Ames
The 2009 Electric Substation Short Course will begin
with registration at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, at the Scheman Building on the campus of Iowa State University. The course begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Your registration fee of $750 will include all program materials, lunches, and refreshment breaks.

Members of ISU's Electric Power Research Center (EPRC) may register for a reduced rate of $650.
Thank you for your interest in the 2010 Electric Substation Short Course at Iowa State University.

Subjects covered at last year's short course included: first response to substation outages, arc flash prevention and protection for electric utilities, transformer diagnostic evaluations and oil and gas analysis, application of thermography to substation equipment, SF6 properties and gas handling, substation battery design and maintenance, and substation rebuild following floods in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
