PURPOSE OF THE EVENT: Disseminate information to individuals who may have an interest in becoming a community college instructor.

Teaching Mathematics and Science in the Community College Career Day

If you have ever had an interest in community colleges and specifically in becoming an instructor at a community college, please join us for a STEM Career Day on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Science Center of Iowa. We will have instructors and administrators sharing the day to day operations of working at a community college. Information will also be provided regarding the search process as well as the rewards and benefits of working with a diversity of students.

Teaching Mathematics and Science in the Community College Career Day is being sponsored by Iowa State University's Community College Leadership Program (CCLP) in conjunction with the Iowa Mathematics and Science Education Partnership (IMSEP).

The workshop is open to students attending colleges and universities in the state of Iowa majoring in mathematics, engineering and the sciences as well as adjunct instructors. The event is FREE OF CHARGE!.
